#1 There is not a Community K-8 meeting on Wednesday night as was listed in the calendar.  That meeting was eliminated when the Middle School Open House on Thursday evening was scheduled.

#2 There was an inadvertent deletion during editing of the opening paragraph about the greenhouse/garden/ science building.  The only design element eliminated was a small roof garden on science building.  The corrected text is in boldface below.

Plans for Orca’s K-8 program and move continue to become more real each day.  Last week the building design team working on the science building/greenhouse /garden was reconvened to consider design developments.  After consideration of several factors, including high cost, liabilities, and the relatively small space gained, a decision was made to eliminate the small roof garden on the science building and explore other environmental learning possibilities.  Options under consideration include solar panels, a wind mill, water retention systems, and science equipment for the greenhouse and science lab.

Sorry for any confusion those errors may have created.

Ben
